Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez has relived the moment he won the 2015-16 PFA Player of the Year with a picture of himself with Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante.

The 26-year-old saw off competition from Kante, Jamie Vardy, Harry Kane, Dimitri Payet and Mesut Ozil to win the prestigious individual accolade after scoring 17 goals and providing 11 assists in 37 league games.

His impressive record steered the King Power Stadium outfit to a surprise first English Premier League title, and also qualified them for their maiden Uefa Champions League campaign.

The Sarcelles-born player - already with two goals in 12 league games for 12th-placed Foxes this season - shared a picture of himself and his former teammate at the award ceremony.
