The South African ladies senior national team lost their second Women's World Cup match in France on Thursday night

Banyana Banyana lost 1-0 against China with the goal coming from Li Ying in the 40th minute of the match.

South Africa have now lost both their World Cup games, having previously lost their tournament opener 3-1 to Spain. They will play against Germany in their last group game on Monday.

These results mean that Banyana will exit the World Cup in the group stage but they can still play for pride against Germany.

Considering their poor form in 2019, Banyana have performed relatively well in France so far, despite the two defeats. They've produced two respectable performances and didn't get the breaks when it mattered against tough opposition, Spain and China.

One can read all the reactions during and after the game from South African football's media and a few soccer legends.

We also included a number of pre-match videos with fantastic interviews on Banyana's campaign.
