Emmanuel Ibekwe is anxious to help MFM to a winning restart against reigning champions Plateau United when the Nigerian topflight resume actions next month.
The forward joined the Olukoya Boys during the mid-season in June before the World Cup break and made his competitive debut in their 1-0 win against El Kanemi Warriors.
With the league set to return, he is eager to prove his worth to the Lagos based outfit and confident his side will triumph over Kennedy Boboye's side at the Agege Stadium.
"It's being an exciting experience for me since I joined MFM and the reception I've got since arriving here,” Ibekwe told Goal.
"I am glad that the league will be resuming next month and looking for to our match against Plateau United. It is an important match for me as I can't wait to prove my self.
“We know it will be a difficult match for us because they are the league champions but I believe we have the quality to defeat them.
“We've been training hard and every member of the team is in good form, waiting for the league to resume. Now that we've rested and trained enough. I hope the coach gives me a chance against Plateau and I promise to take the opportunity."
MFM are 11th on the Nigerian topflight log with 33 points from 24 matches and will be hoping to extend their winning run to three in a row against the Peace Boys.
