The defeat to Brazil in Tuesday’s international friendly match at Stadium MK was Cameroon’s third straight game without tasting victory.

Cameroon coach Clarence Seedorf is proud of his team and confident of the future after witnessing his side notch a third consecutive game without winning.

The Indomitable Lions were edged 1-0 by five-time World champions Brazil on Tuesday in an international friendly match in England, with Everton’s Richarlison grabbing the goal that separated the two sides.

This came fresh after falling down 2-0 to Morocco in an Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier in Casablanca four days earlier.

Preceding the defeat to Morocco was a goalless draw with less-fancied opponents Malawi in another Afcon qualifier away last month.

“I'm very proud of the team," Seedorf was quoted as saying by BBC.

"It was not an easy task four days after we had a hard match against Morocco as well. This gives a lot of confidence for the future.”

The loss to Brazil puts Seedorf's overall record as Cameroon coach to two defeats, as many draws and a hard-fought 1-0 win over Malawi at home since taking over in August.

The Indomitable Lions' next assignment is the Afcon qualifier home fixture against Comoros next March as they prepare to defend their Afcon crown in June next year at home.
