Buthelezi: Zwane key to Sundowns victory over Orlando Pirates

Themba Zwane of Mamelodi Sundowns
Buthelezi tells Goal that the Brazilians will always have an upper-hand in their battles with Bucs ahead of their big PSL clash in Tshwane

Former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Linda Buthelezi believes that the high-spirits in the club’s camp right now will be enough to take three points off  Orlando Pirates .

“I always put Sundowns on top of this, but you must also remember that when these two sides play everything changes. The mood and spirit changes,” Buthelezi told Goal .

“Sundowns have done so well for the past four years. Pirates haven’t done so well. So there’s a lot of inspiration for the technical team and players of the club to beat Sundowns,” he added.

“The good thing is that both teams play good football whenever they play. I still believe Sundowns have the upper-hand going into the game because the spirit is so high.

“Pirates on the other hand still have to get out of first gear. There have been so many things that destructed them in the past few months. So it’s going to be a humdinger of a game, but I give it to Sundowns,” Buthelezi said.

According to the legendary Downs midfielder, the presence of Oupa Manyisa in Bucs midfield can be sorted out by Themba Zwane, who can keep him in check.

“I still believe if they can put Zwane in the middle because he can play there, I don’t think Oupa Manyisa will be at his best. He is the best to go 50-50 with the Pirates captain,” Buthelezi said.
