Our tipster is expecting a tight tussle at Turf Moor when Sean Dyche's Clarets play host to Rafa Benitez's Magpies in Monday's Premier League match

Burnley play host to Newcastle United in Monday's match from the Premier League.

Rafa Benitez's men have won their last two matches and the resurgent Magpies are targeting a third successive victory when they make the trip to Turf Moor.

The Clarets have come out on top in just one of their last seven matches in all competitions and have failed to find the net in three of their last four Premier League games.

Latest odds

Sean Dyche's side are struggling to find the form that led them to a top-seven finish in the Premier League last term, having won just two of their opening 12 league games, and William Hill offer 15/8 (2.88) that they claim a vital victory here.

The team from Tyneside have failed to win any of their six matches away from St James' Park so far this season and William Hill offer 17/10 (2.70) that Newcastle break that duck, whilst the draw is 2/1 (3.0).

Team news

Steven Defour and Johann Berg Gudmundsson are back for Burnley, but Ben Gibson, James Tarkowski, Stephen Ward and Nick Pope all remain out.

Wales defender Paul Dummett is out for the Magpies after limping off in his country's defeat against Denmark during the international break. Florian Lejeune is on the sidelines despite returning to training after a lengthy lay-off, whilst Jamaal Lascelles, Jonjo Shelvey and Yoshinoro Muto are all doubtful.

A tight tussle?

Having conceded just two goals in their last four fixtures, Newcastle will fancy their chances of keeping the shot-shy Clarets at bay. William Hill go 7/4 (2.75) that Burnley draw a blank, while the same firm go 3/1 (4.0) that the Magpies win to nil.

Burnley, though, are unbeaten in four Premier League matches against Newcastle and won this fixture 1-0 last season, with a repeat scoreline priced at 6/1 (7.0) at Turf Moor.

Three of the last four matches between the teams have ended all square and they could prove tough to separate again on Monday.

The value, then, could lie in backing this most recent renewal to end in stalemate at 2/1 (3.0) with William Hill.

Draw at 2/1 (3.0) for a 2pt stake with William Hill
