“Look, we can‘t take him. I’m not going to be able to sign because he is a foreigner and at the moment, we’ve got five foreigners in the team,” Hunt told the media.
Currently the Students have James Keene, Gabadinho Mhango, Gerald Phiri Jnr, Amr Gamal and Slavko Damjanovic as their foreign contingent.
As per league constituency, every club are allowed five foreigners per team, and if they want to add more they will have to release one of the five during the January transfer window.
Meanwhile, former SuperSport United and Orlando Pirates utility player Edwin Gyimah is training with Wits at the moment.
This was confirmed by Hunt, who says they are only helping him to keep fit as his Swedish club Helsingborg are currently in the off-season stages thus no intention to capture him.
“He’s still under contract in Sweden so he’s asked me if he could come and train, so we will take it from there.
“Gyimah’s just asked to come and train, because he’s still contracted to his Swedish club and they’re in the off-season now, so I said its fine,” Hunt added.
