The champions boast a solid defensive record in recent La Liga matches and we are backing that record to continue at the Camp Nou on Tuesday night

Barcelona welcome Valladolid to the Camp Nou on Tuesday evening, with Ernesto Valverde's side looking for their seventh La Liga win of the season.

The Catalans' last game was a 2-1 Champions League success at Slavia Prague and with the postponement of Saturday's El Clasico, Barca have had nearly a week to prepare for the visit of Sergio Gonzalez's men.

The visitors for their part were in action on Saturday beating Eibar 2-0 to extend their unbeaten run to five matches.

Latest odds

Valladolid have drawn with both Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid so far this season and another stalemate is priced at 9.00 with Sportsbet.

The hosts are priced at 1.12 for the win, while the side from the region of Castille and Leon are available at 23.00.

Barcelona vs Valladolid Team News

Forward Ousmane Dembele remains suspended for the champions, while Sergi Roberto and Samuel Umtiti are injured.

Valladolid have plenty of injury concerns with striker Sandro Ramirez a doubt along with winger Pablo Hervias.

In defence, on-loan Real Madrid defender Javi Sanchez is sidelined alongside midfielders Luismi and Ruben Alcaraz.

Barcelona vs Valladolid Preview

Barca's performance against Slavia Prague drew plenty of criticism despite the result, not least from the players themselves who admitted they had allowed their opponents far too many chances.

Going into the game the Blaugrana had been on a strong run of defensive form having kept three consecutive clean sheets in La Liga.

Last season Barca were made to work hard by Valladolid but ultimately ended up winning both matches to nil and there must be a temptation to back a repeat on Tuesday evening.

Tips and predictions

Against considerably weaker opposition backing Barca to win to nil is generally a good angle, and at home even more so.

Quite simply, more limited opponents at the Camp Nou are not likely to have enough of the ball to cause Barcelona many problems, and the price of 1.72 for the Blaugrana to win without conceding looks big enough for investment.
