The African trio were in sterling form for their respective clubs in the English top-flight last month

Arsenal's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha have both been nominated for the English Premier League Player of the Month and Goal of Month awards for April.

Aubameyang who scored three goals and provided two assists in five league matches last month is in the running to win his maiden award since his January transfer to the north London club.

Also, the forward's finish - off a nice team move - in his side's 3-2 win over Southampton on April 8 was nominated for the Goal of the Month.

Zaha joins his Gabon counterpart for the Player of the Month gong after scoring four goals including a brace against Brighton and Hove Albion, with an assist as the Eagles maintained an unbeaten run of four games in the top-flight last month.

The Cote d'Ivoire international's well-worked opener in their rout of Leicester City last Saturday made the cut for the best goal, with Salah's header against Bournemouth also making the shortlist
