AS Kigali defender Kayumba Soter is the latest player to have been linked with a move to the Kenyan Premier League ahead of the new season set to kick-off on December 8.
Sotera is linked with a move to the former KPL champions Sofapaka, Goal has learned. Batoto ba Mungu are lining up the Rwandan as a potential replacement for Dennis Odhiambo, who is linked with a move away to the record Kenyan champions Gor Mahia.
According to Soteri’s agent, Jean Karekezi, the AS Kigali captain is on the verge of completing a move to KPL. “We have agreed on a deal and he could sign and be unveiled soon,” Karekezi told Goal .
Soter’s strength lies on his accurate passing ability, excellent first touch, tackling, counter attack, directing play from the back, ability to read the game as well as sprinting, according ot his CV seen by Goal .
Sofapaka has so far released two foreign players, goalkeeper Mathias Kigonya and his Ugandan compatriot, Rodgers Aloro.
