Former Ghana international Augustine Arhinful has advised Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah to end his 'trial and error' approach ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations set for June next year.
Appiah, 58, keeps inviting new set of players in every squad he names for games, insisting that he is still in the process of building a new team for the upcoming Afcon.
However, Arhinful believes time is short and wants the coach to desist from such decisions.
"Ghana's technical team must depart from this team re-building mantra," Arhinful told Atinka FM.
"These are players who have already played in the team and we have to start talking about professional strategies on how to win the Afcon because the foundation of the team is already intact.
"Why should Kwesi Appiah continue to build a new team after a year? He should start planning on which players he will be using for the country to qualify and win the Afcon and stop handing invitations to new players and always arguing that he wants to build a new team. The trial and error approach isn't the best," he added.
Ghana sit third in Group F of the Afcon qualifiers with three points, four points behind Kenya, with two matches remaining.
