Ghana defender Jerry Akaminko has left Turkish second-tier side Eskisehispor after a mutual termination of his contract, Goal understands.
The 30-year-old, who joined from Manisaspor in the 2012-13 season, is believed to have left the club due to poor treatment over payment of salaries and bonuses.
The former Orduspor star suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury prior to the 2014 World Cup in a warm-up game with Ghana.
"Akaminko has sent a letter to the club and wants his contract terminated although he has one-year left," a source close to the player told Goal.
"The club wants to pay almost 70 per cent of the arrears which the player believes it's a way they want to use to cheat him. The case has been reported to the football federation so a ruling is expected very soon," the source added.
Last season, Akaminko made 31 league appearances for Eskisehispor, starting all the games as the club avoided relegation on final day.
