Eymael's CV looks better than when he first arrived in South Africa two years ago, and it has now been confirmed that Chiefs and SuperSport want him

Luc Eymael's agent Mike Makaab has for the first time confirmed that Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United are interested in his client.

The Free State Stars mentor had been linked with the two Gauteng clubs for a while, but he consistently denied being contacted for the two vacant positions.

Now with the 2017/18 season done and dusted, Eymael's agent revealed that there's interest in the Belgian coach, although he admitted that there hasn't been any formal talks with either team.

"We haven't had formal talks, but I can confirm that Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United are interested in Luc. His name has been connected to Chiefs. I feel he would do a fantastic job at Chiefs," Makaab told IOL.

While Amakhosi have said that they wouldn't rush the decision to appoint a new coach, Makaab feels they should decide this week as the wait is somewhat affecting Ea Lla Koto, who still don't know whether or not Eymael will be leaving them.

"The most important thing though is that Chiefs have to make a decision. This is not fair on Free State Stars. Something has to happen this week," added Makaab.

The ProSport International boss revealed that he hasn't presented any offer to either Chiefs or Matsatsantsa, saying that both teams know exactly what Eymael can offer should they decide to hire him as their head coach.

"I haven't presented any offer to Chiefs and SuperSport. We don't have to present any offer for a coach like Luc. He is working in South Africa and they know what he is capable of," he continued.

Makaab further revealed that whoever wants Eymael will have to contact Free State Stars as the 58-year-old is still contracted to the Bethlehem-based outfit.

Furthermore, Eymael has a buy-out clause, which means a certain fee has to be agreed on before the coach can be allowed to leave the 2018 Nedbank Cup champions.

"If they are interested in his services, they must contact Free State Stars as he has a buy-out clause," Makaab concluded.
