AFC Leopards have been presented with an opportunity to avenge the lose to Tanzania champions Simba when the two regional giants clash in the battle of the ‘Big Cats’ in August.

Leopards will take on Simba SC on 8th after landing an invite to take part in the Simba-day in Tanzania. 

Ingwe suffered 4-0 lose when the two sides faced each other last in the same competition and the Rodolfo Zapata led side will be aiming at bouncing back.

But AFC Leopards may send a relatively weaker squad to Tanzania as they turn their attention at defending the FKF Shield which presents them with a chance to return to the Caf Confederation Cup next year.

"We have about 30 players in the team, and we are currently using about 15 players. The others have an opportunity to show what they have for the team.

“We believe the match against Simba will give the coach an opportunity to asses them and make a decision.

"This is a match we want to play because in one way or another it, will give us the competitive edge we need as we work on finishing in the top three by the end of the season."

Leopards are fourth on 39 points and their next game will be against Mathare this weekend.
