Tanzanian club Yanga are out to rope AFC Leopards head coach Stewart Hall

AFC Leopards face a fight to retain the services of head coach Stewart Hall, Goal can exclusively reveal.

The Englishman has been sounded out by Tanzanian giants Yanga SC and our sources say the Dar es Salaam-based club have sent emissaries to try and lure the experienced Hall to their base, with the move - if successful - likely to be completed during mid-season in June.

It is even reported that representatives of the club were at Machakos County Stadium when Hall led AFC Leopards to a second consecutive league win over Nzoia Sugar on Saturday. But the tactician instead, directed them to speak to his Kenyan confidant, who is said to be out of the country.

"The Yanga people were here and Hall (Stewart) told them to speak to George Bwana, who is however, in Zambia working on the (John) Makwatta transfer to Buildcon." our source indicated.

Despite beating Azam 1-0 in a league match on Saturday, Yanga bosses are said to so far been unconvinced by the tactics employed by Zambian coach George Lwandamina, who is barely six months in the job.

Lwandamina, formerly at Zesco United, has staggered through the opening phase of his Tanzanian coaching career, losing to Zanaco in the Caf Champions League and to arch-rivals Simba SC in the league.

Meanwhile, Hall still retains amicable respect in Tanzania following the success he achieved during his separate stints as Azam coach, which include winning the league, domestic cup and Cecafa titles. The tactician has also excited Leopards supporters following a bright start to the league.
