Ingwe are yet to win the league title for the last 20 years and the Serbian coach, who replaced Argentine Rodolfo Zapata, remained silent on whether he will end the trophy drought at the Den.
When asked about the title, Kavazovic said, “I can’t answer that for now, as you know we have a new squad that we are trying to build together. Most of the players, who were here last season have left and that gives us a challenge to start building afresh.
“We are almost there, I would say 60 percent out of 100 and remember I don’t know the other teams in the league. I will need to study the teams keenly before I can answer that question.”
Ingwe started their pre-season campaign with a 1-1 draw against Wazito FC on Wednesday and the coach was satisfied with the outcome. “It was a good game for my players because it was their first for the season. Wazito gave us a good challenge and this are the kind of matches we need to play.”
Kavazovic also confirmed that the club will sign striker Michelle Katsvairo. The Zimbabwean attacker played the entire match against Wazito and the tactician said he was impressed with the former Kaizer Chiefs striker.
“He has impressed in the friendly and we will definitely hand him a contract.”
Ingwe are preparing for the new season that kicks-off on the December 8.
