The summer signing struck a belter past Matthew Lowton from outside the area to give the Cottagers an early lead over the Clarets

Fulham midfielder Jean Michael Seri opened his goal account in the English Premier League with an absolute stunner against Burnley on Sunday.

The Cote d'Ivoire international arrived Craven Cottage in a big money move from Nice in the summer and, despite losses in their opening games against Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspurs, has taken little or no time to settle in at the heart of their midfield.

Four minutes into his third game with the London side, Seri received a pass from fellow new signing Luciano Vietto outside the area - while leaving his marker for dead - before unleashing a powerful shot into the top right corner.

Six minutes later, Jeff Hendrick levelled matters for the Clarets but two Aleksandar Mitrovic goals in as many minutes saw the hosts back in front.

They, however, went into the break with their lead cut to 3-2 after James Tarkowski reduced the deficit off a Ben Mee assist.

Interestingly, Seri's goal was off his first shot on target in the Premier League. The former Barcelona target would fancy his chance again to help Fulham grab their maiden win in the top-flight this season .

Also, folks on Twitter cannot seem to get enough of the 'absolute stunner' and contender for the EPL 'Goal of the Season'.
