Obaroapko has missed the team’s last two matches after he fell ill but he has recovered and has trained without issues in the past few days while Ayinde on his part hurt his leg in their away game with Akwa United and he is expected to commence light training session from Monday next week.
“I won’t be playing against Lobi Stars because I am yet to recover from the injury I got in our last game,” Ayinde told Goal.
“I was kicked on my leg and it is swollen. I have been told to allow it to go down and hopefully by next week I will start light training. Our captain, Austin (Obaroakpo) will replace me. He is also just coming back from sickness but he is ready for action.”
The former Plateau United defender assures that it will be difficult for Lobi Stars to leave Umuahia with any of the points as they have prepared very hard with the determination to secure their sixth win of the campaign.
“We have prepared very well for this match and what is paramount on our minds is to get our sixth win of the season and move far away from the relegation zone. We really prepared for this game and it won’t be easy for Lobi to get anything out of it,” he added.
