Limerick have announced the long-awaited signings of Ali Abass and Prince Agyemang from the Right to Dream Academy.
The teenage duo were both approved work permits for the 2014 SSE Airtricity Premier Division season, and are the first players to join the Superblues from the academy after Limerick agreed an official partnership with the Ghanaian soccer school.
Limerick manager Stuart Taylor is delighted to have added goalkeeper Abass and midfielder Agyemang to his squad for the new season. "The boys are coming from a fantastic acadeny and background" Taylor told the club's official website.
"But they need time and patience from the club and supporters to settle in, not only to the club, but to life in Ireland.
"There is no pressure on them, we just want them to enjoy their football; they’re young lads with promising careers ahead of them both and we’re delighted to have them on board."
Both players are eligible to play for Limerick in their EA Sports Cup First Round tie with Cork City at Turner's Cross on Monday, March 10.
