St Patrick's Athletic winger Chris Forrester will train with Bristol City for two weeks in order to maintain his fitness levels.

The 20-year-old helped St Pat's to a first League of Ireland title in 14 years with nine goals from midfield, while also earning a call-up to the Republic of Ireland Under-21 squad.

Forrester will train with the Robins first team under Sean O'Driscoll, and is expected to play for City in an FA Under-21 Development League Cup tie against Peterborough at Ashton Gate on Thursday afternoon.

Dublin-born Forrester has previously spent time on trial with Wolverhampton Wanderers and Watford, while Ipswich Town were also reported to be interested in signing the winger.
