Limerick sign Scottish defender Jonathan Tiffoney

Stuart Taylor has added another signing to his squad as he continues to prepare for the 2013 campaign with the Shannonsiders
Airtricity Premier Division side Limerick have signed Scottish full back Jonathan Tiffoney ahead of the forthcoming season.

The 21-year-old right back, who has played at under-21 level for Scotland, has previously had spells at Alloa and Ayr United and links up with the Shannonsiders ahead of the 2013 campaign.

Limerick boss Stuart Taylor said that he was 'delighted' to have captured Tiffoney, suggesting that he was on the radar of clubs in the Scottish Premier League.

"Jonathan is a young athletic player with a lot of potential who has been chased by SPL clubs," he told the club's official website.

"We're delighted to get him on board, he's settled right into the squad on the current tour and he'll feature in the game against Hibernian tomorrow."

The Airtricity First Division champions are currently on a pre-season tour in Scotland.
