Inter defender Juan Jesus has insisted that the club can bounce back from their poor 2012-13 season to storm the Serie A title race next year.
Head coach Andrea Stramaccioni was cast aside after the Nerazzurri slipped from Scudetto contenders to ninth place in the final four months, with Walter Mazzarri being drafted on board from Napoli.
The Brazilian centre-back, 22, hopes the tribulations in recent months are behind the Milan-based club and stressed that reigning champions Juventus ought to be looking over their shoulders once the league action recommences in August.
"For us it was a very difficult year. Inter are used to fighting at the top of the table and this season was tough for us" Juan told Band Sao Paulo TV.
"Next year we must prepare our best and I hope and think that the Inter can be back competing for the title."
