Juventus are back, says Bonucci after clinching Serie A title

The Bianconeri defender is overjoyed after his team got the better of Cagliari on Sunday to win the Scudetto with one more round of games remaining in Serie A
Leonardo Bonucci has described Juventus' Serie A title success as "wonderful" after the Old Lady secured a 2-0 victory over Cagliari on Sunday to claim the Scudetto, and insists that his side are now back as a major force.

Antonio Conte's team went into the match in Trieste knowing that a win would seal the championship should AC Milan draw or lose against Inter in the Derby della Madonnina at San Siro.

However, the Rossoneri went down 4-2 to Inter while Juve comfortably overcame the Sardinians, and Bonucci was the first player to express his joy after the match.

"It's wonderful, I feel beautiful," Bonucci told Sky Sport Italia.

"We demonstrated that this 30th championship is well deserved and that Juventus are back.

"On the pitch we have won 30 titles, but right now let's forget about everything because all I care about is what happens on the pitch and nothing else.

"I have grown a lot as a player and I have to thank Conte for helping in my development."
