Commentary

That will do it for our live coverage of this Ligue 1 match between Angers and Paris Saint-Germain! We hope you enjoyed following along, and will join us again soon!
As for what's coming for these clubs, Angers will travel to face second-place Lille next weekend while PSG will be in a celebratory mood as they play their last home match of the season against Dijon on Saturday.
After some solid fight was shown by Angers in the first half, PSG dominated most of the match despite never really hitting top gear. Neymar made the most impact for the visitors as the Brazilian scored a great diving header in the 20th minute and then set up Di Maria for a header of his own (58') which would prove to be the winning goal. Angers did get some momentum back after making their first substitution and managed to get a late goal through Tait (88') but it was too little, too late for the hosts. As a result, Angers remain in 12th place in the Ligue 1 table and PSG obviously still sit top considering they have already been crowned champions for the 2018/19 season.
90' + 5' FULL-TIME: Angers 1-2 Paris Saint-Germain

Penalty Miss
Angers SCO

F. Tait
Goal
Angers SCO
88' GOOALLLL! ANGERS BRING A GOAL BACK! Buffon saved the initial attempt from Tait, but the ball bounced right back to the feet of the penalty taker and the Angers man did not miss twice. Can the hosts bring this match level late? Angers 1-2 PSG
87' The PSG players are still protesting but the referee's decision was checked by VAR and has been upheld!
Marquinhos
Red Card
PSG
85' PENALTY! Kanga let the ball roll past him, shielding Marquinhos and the PSG captain hacks down the Angers man from behind... AND IS SHOWN RED! PSG are down to 10 men!
84' Reine-Adelaide was down on the floor holding his face, but seems to be feeling better now having received a hug from Buffon which, apparently, is more effective than actual treatment.
W. Kanga
S. Bahoken
Angers SCO
82' Kanga replaces Bahoken who was unable to find a way past Buffon on the day.
81' Neymar pulls off a neat step over in midfield only to then be hacked down by Santamaria. Free-kick to PSG.
79' Manceau pushes up the right flank and tries a low ball to Bahoken in the box, but they can't connect and the chance goes.
J. Draxler
Á. Di María
PSG
77' Di Maria is replaced by Draxler who, it should be noted, is in the second worst goal drought of his career (19 matches without scoring).
75' ANGERS HAVE THE BALL IN THE NET.... oh, but it's offside! Santamaria made his run while the PSG defence managed to hold their line and the goal is chalked off.
74' Kurzawa goes through the back of Reine-Adelaide but the referee continues to keep his cards in his pocket.
73' Traore tries a curling left-footed effort from outside the box that always looked like it was going wide... which it did.
P. Capelle
V. Pajot
Angers SCO
72' Pajot was instrumental in midfield at times for Angers, but is now replaced by Pierrick Capelle.
L. Kurzawa
Dani Alves
PSG
70' PSG make their first change as Kurzawa replaces Alves.
69' Di Maria runs into the box and his touch is a little loose which allows Butelle to come off his line and smother both the ball and the chance.
67' The hosts have started to find a footing in this match since the substituton. Can they bring a goal back and make things interesting?
65' Tait is taken down by Alves in the final third and it will be a free-kick from a great posititon for Angers.
63' Neymar tries to play a pass down the line to Bernat but Cavan, thinking it was for him, stretched to make contact which redirected the ball right into the feet of an Angers defender. A bit of poor communication from the visitors there.
F. El Melali
A. Fulgini
Angers SCO
61' Angers the first side to make a change as Fulgini is withdrawn in favour of El Melali.
Neymar
Assist
PSG
58' The ball was played out wide to Neymar who lost his marker with a strong first touch. Then the Brazilian drove into the box and lofted a left-footed ball to the head of Di Maria who had drifted into space, and then finished the chance with his head.
Á. Di María
Goal
PSG
58' GOOALLLL!!!! PSG DOUBLE THEIR LEAD! Neymar dribbled into the penalty area before chipping a lofted ball to Di Maria who headed the ball right down the centre of the goal which was vacated by a diving Butelle. It felt like another goal was coming from the visitors, and it did indeed come. Angers 0-2 PSG
56' A bit of a battle building between Verratti and Pajot as the tables now turn with the PSG man sliding through the Angers one. They both get a talking to from the referee and it's safe to assume that the next foul from either will result in a yellow card.
54' Verratti is fouled by Pajot in the midfield but advantage is played... until it becomes clear there isn't one, and the referee calls it back.
52' A four on two attack from PSG ends with Dani Alves being played down the right and, rather than hitting it first time, the Brazilian tried a touch which allowed the defender to recover and block the ensuing pass. They have to do better there!
49' Paredes pulls back Pellenard in the midfield, conceding what could be a dangerous free-kick to the hosts.
47' Tait shields the ball well in the midfield before unleashing a ball forward to Bahoken on the run. The striker was probably played wider than he would have liked though and his left-footed shot was always dragging wide of goal.
46' The referee's whistle sounds once more and the second half is underway!
There probably won't be too many changes at half-time as Angers will likely be pleased with the chances they did create while PSG have a goal advantage and, with the title already in hand, do not need to shift to a more defensive set-up to ensure the win. Because of that, there probably will not be significant alterations by either side until the 60th minute or after the next goal is scored.
Angers were the better side for the first 20 or so minutes with chances from both Tait and Bahoke that could, and probably should have opened the scoring for the hosts. Unfortunately for them, neither could find the back of the net which came back to bite them pretty quickly with Neymar scoring just a minute after Bahoke put his chance into the body of Buffon. From that point onward, PSG controlled the match with Di Maria and Neymar flowing forward and Cavani getting more and more service. While Angers do have the talent to break through this make-shift PSG defence, it looks far more likely that PSG will score a second before the hosts score their first as things stand.
45' + 1' HALF-TIME: Angers 0-1 Paris Saint-Germain
45' There will be one minute of added time.
44' Tait is down on the pitch after he ran into Paredes who was standing his ground. Play is halted briefly but it looks like the Angers maestro will be able to continue.
42' Santamaria bundles over Neymar in the midfield and the former is called for the foul. Free-kick to PSG.
40' Cavani starting to be picked out more frequently by his teammates. This time Di Maria paces down the left, and into the box before playing a low-ball into the striker who was able to make contact with the ball but couldn't turn it into a meaningful shot.
38' Dagba whips an early cross to the on-rushing Cavani that the striker can't manage to redirect onto target as his header soars over Butelle's goal.
35' Neymar wriggles into the box and tries to cut the ball back to Cavani at the penalty spot but it's picked out by Angers who clear.
34' Cavani tries an early cross to Di Maria that he woefully mishits and it will be a goal-kick to the hosts.
32' Neymar overhits a through ball that was intended for Cavani who had broken through the back line of Angers.
29' A cross is lofted to Pajot who was waiting at the back post and the midfielder's header... soars high of goal. The cross was hit just a little too high which prevented Pajot from being able to keep his effort down.
28' Tait sets up a chance for Santamaria at the top of the box but the latter can't sort his feet out in time and Paredes tackles and wins the ball.
26' Pajot plays a long ball to Bahoke who streaks past the opposing back line, only to see the flag raised. Offside.
25' With Neymar's goal, PSG have now scored in all 36 league matches in which they have played this season. To date, no team has scored in every game in the 20-team Ligue 1 era.
23' Pajot takes down Paredes, conceding a free-kick to the visitors.
Dani Alves
Assist
PSG
20' Alves collected the ball and drove forward down the right channel before playing a perfectly weighted cross into the path of a diving Neymar who stretched his neck and buried the chance!
Neymar
Goal
PSG
20' GOAAALLL!!! Neymar manages to direct the ball past Butelle at the bottom-right corner with a terrific diving header! Great cross in from Dani Alves as well as he had both Di Maria and Neymar to aim at before picking out his Brazilian compatriot for the opening goal! Angers 0-1 PSG
20' This game is really starting to liven up with chances starting to flow for both sides.
18' PSG HAVE THE BALL IN THE NET.... but Cavani is called offside! He made his run just a touch too early!
17' CHANCE! Bahoke had a shot from point blank after a perfect cross in from Tait but the shot was right at Buffon who reacted well and made sure to trap the ball once he'd found it. Anywhere else and the Angers striker would have scored!
16' Marquinhos pulls back Bahoken and it will be a free-kick to the hosts.
15' Reine-Adelaide outpaces his marker on the left wing and passes it into Fulgini who played a switch over to the right but the ensuing cross was too close to Buffon and the PSG 'keeper easily collects it.
13' Corner to PSG after Butelle launched off his line to close down Cavani who had broken through the backline.
12' PSG try to break quickly after the Angers corner through Di Maria, but the winger can't control the ball and the opportunity goes wanting.
10' CHANCE! Tait cuts in onto his right-foot and whips a curling shot to the bottom-right corner... only for Buffon to make a spectacular diving save to keep it out!  Fantastic effort stopped by an even more fantastic save!
8' A quick counter-attack from Angers as a lofted through ball is perfectly played up to Bahoken who collects it in stride! He tries to pass the ball infield, but it's easily cut out by PSG who regain possession.
5' Neither side have really been able to put much tofgether in an attacking sense, but it is PSG who have taken an early lead in possession (61.2 per cent).
3' Reine-Adelaide now on the receiving end of a foul after being taken down in his own third by Verratti.
2' An early infraction for Angers as Reine-Adelaide is called for handball.
1' Referee Florent Batta blows his whistle, and this match is underway!
Three changes from manager Thomas Tuchel after his side’s 1-1 draw with Nice last time out. Buffon, Soh, and Dagba all come into the side with Arreola and Draxler dropping to the bench while Kimpembe misses out altogether. Despite a physical altercation with a fan after losing the Coup de France Neymar is in the team and still eligible to play today with his suspension not going into effect until  Monday. The Brazilian will need to be at his best today as well considering fellow attacker, and the club’s leading scorer, Kylian Mbappe is currently serving a suspension of his own after being shown a red card for an awful challenge against Nimes.
PSG substitutes: Moussa Diaby, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, Julian Draxler, Christopher Nkunku, Layvin Kurzawa, Alphonse Areola, Arthur Zagre.
PSG (3-4-3): Gianluigi Buffon; Colin Dagba, Marquinhos, Loic Mbe Soh; Dani Alves, Marco Verratti, Leandro Paredes, Juan Bernat; Angel Di María, Edinson Cavani, Neymar.
Just one change from Angers after their 1-0 win against Bordeaux with Butelle taking Boucher’s place in goal. That winning came via the foot of Bahoken which should come as little surprise considering he leads the club in league goals this season with 11. He’s no stranger to scoring against PSG either, seeing as he’s done so the last two times these sides have faced. If he is to do so again today, he will need plenty of support and Tait has definitely been able to provide it this season, leading Angers in almost every meaningful creative statistic.
Angers substitutes: Ibrahim Cisse, Wilfried Kanga, Zacharie Boucher, Pierrick Capelle, Farid El Melali, Elhadji Djibril Diaw, Rayan Ait Nouri.
Angers (4-3-3): Ludovic Butelle; Vincent Manceau, Ismael Traore, Mateo Pavlovic, Theo Pellenard; Angelo Fulgini, Baptiste Santamaria, Vincent Pajot; Jeff Reine-Adelaide, Stephane Bahoken, Flavien Tait.
Now let's look at how these sides will be setting up today.
Historically, this match has been very lopsided with Angers having gone 17 matches without a win against today's opponent. If the hosts can overturn that trend today, it would be their first win against PSG since 1975!
PSG have hit a bit of a rough patch of late, having lost more Ligue 1 matches (three) than anyone but Bordeaux (four) since the start of April. Despite this Thomas Tuchel's side did still manage to secure their place as champions on April 21st when Lille drew with Toulouse.
While PSG are a daunting opponent, Angers can be confident heading into this match considering they have not lost in their last seven home matches in Ligue 1, and have picked up twice as many points over the last five games (eight) as the Parisian side (four).
