Lehlohonolo Majoro of AmaZulu, January 2020
Usuthu made it 10 wins and four draws from their last 14 league outings with a home victory over the Mpumalanga side on Saturday in Durban

AmaZulu kept up their remarkable form with a home win over TS Galaxy, with Cape Town City also winning on their home turf, comfortably beating relegation threatened TTM.

AmaZulu 2-1 TS Galaxy

The KwaZulu-Natal side came into the game full of confidence and were 2-0 up at the break, thanks to a brace from Lehlohonolo Majoro, who scored in the 33rd and 42nd minutes.

Usuthu remained in control for most of the second half, although the visitors did manage to pull a goal back in added time, through a Lindokuhle Mbatha penalty.

The victory takes the Durban team to within three points of league leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, who host Kaizer Chiefs on Sunday.

Cape Town City 3-0 TTM

It was a goalless first half in the Mother City, although the hosts should have been in the lead - Mduduzi Mdantsane failed to convert a 29th-minute penalty - saved by Washington Arubi - after Aubrey Ngoma’s cross into the box had been handled by a defender.

The Citizens took the lead in the 58th minute through a well-taken header by substitute Abul Ajagu. The lead was doubled in the 89th minute when Tashrique Morris tapped home a cross from Fagrie Lakay, with the same player adding the third from the penalty spot in the 93rd minute.

Stellenbosch FC 1-1 Bloemfontein Celtic

After both sides had enjoyed early chances, the Free State side struck first blood in the 33rd minute when Sello Matjila arrived at the back post to score.

Stellies fought back in the second stanza. Then after Mark Van Heerden had gone close with a free-kick and Ashley Du Preez shot over the bar, the hosts managed to equalise through a Junior Mendieta penalty in the 71st minute.

Black Leopards 1-1 SuperSport United

Black Leopards and SuperSport United drew 1-1 at the Thohoyandou Stadium - extending both sides'  winless runs to eight.

The Pretoria club was first to score, in the 18th minute: some neat interplay resulted in Sipho Mbule bursting into the Leopards area before finishing coolly.

The lead however was only to last 10 minutes as Lidoda Duvha hit back when Ovidy Karuru back-heeled Wiseman Maluleke in on goal and Maluleke's shot was parried by George Chigova before Karuru slotted home the rebound.

There were no more than half-chances in the second half as the sides settled for a point apiece, as a draw was probably a fair reflection of the game.
