K’Ogalo kept their dominance over a struggling Ingwe side after two goals in either half haned them bragging rights in the Mashemeji derby
Joash Onyango - Gor Mahia
The former Western Stima defender made a return to the first eleven and made his presence felt with a good game. His tackles were well timed and he ensured that AFC Leopards do not get time to trouble the goalkeeper.
Isaac Kipyegon - AFC leopards
The thirty-year-old ace was full of energy on the left flank, making good and timely runs for Ingwe. His delivery was good but on most occasions, there was no aggressive striker to capitalize on it.
Francis Kahata - Gor Mahia
Troubled the opponents with his intelligent play and was involved in the two goals scored. Free-kicks were well taken and to cut the long story short, he was a problem for the visitors.
Whyvonne Isuza - AFC Leopards
Just like Kahata, Isuza was instrumental but for AFC Leopards. Created good scoring chances but at times he looked to be far ahead of his teammates. Could have hit the back of the net but failed to capitalize on his chance.
Nicholas Kipkirui - Gor Mahia
By signing Kipkirui, the defending champions acquired one of the best wingers in the country. His pace created massive problems for Ingwe defenders and was unlucky not to have gotten into the score sheet.
Kenneth Muguna - Gor Mahia
Arguably his best match for Gor Mahia this season. Was composed on and off the ball, made perfect passes and controlled the midfield well. Was rewarded with a fine goal that helped his team to victory.
