Adisa Omar & Cliff Nyakeya star in KPL Team of the Week

Adisa Omar was in great show for the bankers as they fought hard to down the Kenyan champions while Nyakeya grabbed his fourth of the season

    Adisa was outstanding against Gor Mahia; he pulled fantastic saves to help his team keep a clean sheet as well as get maximum points against the defending champions.

    The full back continued with his fine form this season. Had a perfect day against Vihiga United and managed to have an assist as the ‘slum boys’ recorded their seventh win of the season.

    After a disastrous display in the Super Cup defeat against Mbao, the Ugandan winger performed better against the bankers. Forced the keeper to a fine save, shame he was in the losing team.

    A dedicated performance from the former AFC Leopards defender helped the bankers to get maximum points. Read the game well and made vital interceptions.

    Juma has formed a formidable partnership with Johnstone Omurwa this season. Against Vihiga United, he made things look easier at the back and helped the ‘slum boys’ to claim maximum points.

    The former Thika United player has made the holding/defensive midfield role his own. Was outstanding against Zoo Kericho; won many balls in the midfield and made several interceptions.

    Just like Shafik Batambuze, Ndung'u did not deserve to be in a losing team. He was at his best against Nzoia Sugar and had a positive influence throughout the afternoon.

    Kimani continued to prove his doubters wrong with improved and consistent performance week in week out. Was at it again against Vihiga United, scored a goal that helped the ‘slum boy’s win.

    Scored the winner against Gor Mahia, a deserved one. He worked hard the whole afternoon and gave the Frank Ouna led side everything he could have wished for against the champions.

    Wakhungu was on fine form against Mount Kenya United, claiming a brace that helped Nzoia Sugar to hit fourteen points. Was unfortunate not to score a hat-trick.

    Gor Mahia must be regretting why they did not rope him in from the youth team. His input deserved a standing ovation. He gave absolutely everything on the pitch and ended up scoring his fourth of the season.
