The most pressing concern is the Jean Matteo Bahoya transfer to Leeds United, where the 21-year-old has managed just eleven minutes of Premier League football across three appearances. A purchase obligation worth 30 million euros triggers only when Bahoya reaches ten appearances, and Leeds manager Daniel Farke has been frank about the winger not yet being physically ready for English football. For Frankfurt, a deal that once looked certain is now genuinely uncertain.

The sporting picture offers more encouragement.
