Zoo FC head coach Sammy Okoth says he knew how to stop Kariobangi Sharks even before playing against them.
Sabiri Sindani was at the end of Isaac Kipyegon's free-kick to hand his team a deserved lead, but Erick Kapaito leveled matters before Michael Madoya hit the winner for his team. Okoth says the win was not a fluke but a well calculated tactic that paid dividends in the end.
“Sharks are always better in the second half, if you give them space they will finish you. So our plan was to ensure we remain compact in our own half and at the same time press them to ensure they do not get that opportunity to pass the ball around and move it to spaces created.
“Our main tactic was to hit them on the break, and it did work for us because at the end we got the win,” Okoth told Goal.
Zoo Kericho has twenty-nine points as it stands after twenty-five matches.
