Younes Belhanda was on target in Galatasaray’s 2-0 win over Yeni Malatyaspor in Saturday’s Turkish Super Lig game.
The 28-year-old, making his 34th appearance in the outing was on hand to help Fatih Terim’s men extend their winning run to four games.
Belhanda opened the scoring a minute into the encounter after an assist from Garry Rodrigues to mark his third league goal this season.
⌚️ MINUTE ONE!— Galatasaray EN (@Galatasaray) May 12, 2018
Garry Rodrigues picks it up from Malatyaspor defender, sprints forward, passes it for Gomis but Belhanda catches up to the ball and slots it home with ease. No one is around him.
CIMBOM AHEAD, 1-0!
Bafetimbi Gomis then sealed the victory for the hosts in the 12th minute after benefiting from another Rodrigues’ assist.
Belhanda featured for the entire duration of the outings while his compatriot Khalid Boutaib, who was also on parade from start to finish could not prevent his side from the loss.
The win bolstered Galatasaray's chances of winning the league after accruing 72 points from 33 games to sit on the summit of the table, three points clear of second-placed Istanbul Basaksehir.
They will be looking to continue the impressive form when they clash with Goztepe in their last top-flight game on May 19.
