Glory Ogbonna is confident Ibom Angels will subdue Rivers Angels when they meet in the Federation Cup final at the Samson Siasia Stadium on Tuesday.
The Orange girls failed to make a title-winning outing in their first ever final appearance as they fell to the Port Harcourt ladies on penalties at the Rwang Pam Stadium, Jos last year.
Having reached this year’s final, the Nigeria U20 star is assuring that they will fight with all in them to upset the record seven-time champions when they meet in Yenagoa.
"It has been an awesome journey for me and my team Ibom Angels,” Ogbonna told Goal.
“It was a great joy for me coming back from the U20 Women’s World Cup in France and helping the team to the final of the Federation Cup once again. I couldn’t play in our last league game due to an injury but I am fit now and ready to give my very best.
“Rivers Angels are a good side and they stopped us from winning the competition last year. It was painful not been able to grab the trophy when we got to the final last year but this year, we are all very focused on claiming the title.
“Coming this far, we are determined to go all out and fight with all in us to defeat Rivers this time in the final. We are promising that we will not to disappoint Akwa Ibom people.”
