VIDEO: 'It's a matter of freedom' - Tibet set for CONIFA World Football Cup debut

This summer, the CONIFA Football World Cup is coming to London.

A global sporting event to celebrate the underdog, the tournament includes 16 national teams representing states, minorities, stateless peoples and regions unaffiliated with the other major international competition taking place this summer.

And the English capital will see a historic first in May as it welcomes debutants Tibet.

To find out more, Paddy Power travelled to Dharamsala to meet Tibetans who believe their national team will do them proud after qualifying for the CONIFA World Football Cup as a wildcard.

“It is a special feeling. It’s not a matter of winning or losing. It is a matter of freedom,” said Thupten Yarphel, principal of the Dalai Lama School.
