The Desert Foxes thrashed Claude Le Roy's side in Lome on Sunday to secure their spot in next year's continental competition in Cameroon

Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez, Fenerbahce striker Islam Slimani and Galatasaray's Sofiane Feghouli are celebrating Algeria's qualification for 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

The north African nation confirmed their place in the biennial football showpiece after defeating Togo 4-1 at the Stade Municipal, Lome on Sunday.

Riyad Mahrez's first-half brace and lone goals from Youcef Attal and Baghdad Bounedjah sealed all three points for Djamel Belmadi's team and shot them to the top of Group D with 10 points from five matches.

Algeria have now qualified for their fourth consecutive outing in the continental showpiece since their absence from 2012 Afcon which was co-hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
