Football enthusiasts have showered accolades on Nigeria B team despite suffering a 3-2 defeat to Atletico Madrid on Tuesday.

Top quality goals from Kelechi Nwakali and Usman Mohammed were not enough for the Super Eagles to lift the maiden GOtv Max Cup at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium as Angel Correa, Fernando Torres and Borja Garces' efforts sealed victory for Diego Simeone's men.

Despite the loss, the performance of the Nigerian Professional Football League players and the some foreign-based talents have got fans talking on social media.
