He's yet to secure a contract, but that doesn't mean you can't put some money on the sprint king

You can bet on pretty much anything these days - case and point Usain Bolt and his attempt to earn an A-League contract with Central Coast Mariners.

The eight-time Olympic gold medalist has arrived in Australia for an indefinite training period as he looks to become a professional footballer.

Despite being given no guarantees of a contract, some quite brazen betting markets have already sprung up for Bolt's potential A-League adventure.

Ladbrokes have gone all in when it comes the sprint king with crazy odds on some pretty questionable outcomes.

To kick things off Bolt has been rated at $3 to be named in the Mariners squad for Round 1 with $9 odds to score and $101 odds to claim a hat-trick.

From there, the Jamaican is then evaluated at $17 to be handed a red card at some point throughout the A-League season and sits at surprisingly low odds of $2.25 to score at any point.

If those markets weren't enough to raise your eyebrows perhaps $151 odds for Bolt to represent the Socceroos or $251 odds for him to play at the 2022 World Cup will convince you that you really can bet on anything these days.

As far as Bolt representing Australia goes, new Socceroos coach Graham Arnold did joke the Jamaican could be the answer to the green and gold's struggles in front of goal, but made it very clear that it was in fact a joke.

Bolt will have his first chance to impress and prove his move to Mariners is more than a gimmick on Tuesday, when his first training session with the club is expected to take place.
