Bandari FC Team Manager Wilson Oburu says that teamwork and quick adaptability are the hidden secrets behind the Dockers’ eye-catching performance this season.
Bandari, who are second on the log, boast of a 12-match unbeaten run, better than any other KPL opponent this season.
The team kicked-off the year with the sad news of the untimely death of their Team manager Charles Obwoka, but the heartbreaking incident of January 3 didn’t dampen their spirit.
Oburu, who took over from Obwoka, says that the demise of their former boss pushed the team to do better.
“We set a top eight target at the beginning of the season to honour our late TM and they (players) wanted to achieve that right from day one. Everyone has been committed. They adopted so quickly, even when we changed coaches and their attitude has been fantastic."
Oburu says that the Dockers will make this dream a reality by pushing themselves until the end. “I used to work very closely with TM (Obwoka) even when I was still playing and I picked one or two things from him on how to manage players.
“I work very closely with players and I have faith in them that they will push until the end,” Oburu told Goal.
Bernard Mwalala side will have to do without the services of Darius Msagha and Collins Agade, who have been ruled out for the rest of the season while Joseph Ochuka is set to sit out for three weeks.
Bandari will take on Zoo FC in the next league match.
