Our tipster thinks that Vladimir Petkovic's men may enjoy a moment of magic from their talismanic midfielder when they face Janne Andersson's side

Switzerland and Sweden meet in St Petersburg with a place in the last eight of World Cup 2018 awaiting the winners.

Neither side has looked particularly prolific in the competition thus far, but Tuesday's tussle provides a golden opportunity for someone to write his name into the record books.

Swedes to strike?

Between them, Emil Forsberg and Marcus Berg have had more than half of Sweden's shots on goal on Russian soil this summer - but neither man has yet found the net.

The misfiring duo can make amends against Vladimir Petkovic's team and SportPesa offer 13/5 (3.60) that Berg scores, while the same firm go 15/4 (4.75) that Forsberg is on target in St Petersburg.

Ola Toivonen scored for Sweden in the 2-1 defeat against Germany in Group F and SportPesa go 7/1 (8.0) that Toivonen doubles his tally with the first goal of this game or 11/4 (3.75) that the Swede strikes at any time.

Swedish captain, Andreas Granqvist, has already scored two penalties in this tournament and SportPesa's 5/1 (6.0) quote for the veteran defender to add to his tally here could well prove popular with punters.

Shaqiri key for Swiss?

Xherdan Shaqiri has been a key man for Petkovic's side in Russia, striking a late winner to hand the Swiss a vital victory against Serbia in Group E and he could prove pivotal again if his side are to progress.

SportPesa go 6/1 (7.0) that Shaqiri breaks the deadlock in St Petersburg, but it is the 12/5 (3.40) quote from the same firm for the midfielder to strike at any time that could offer best value.

Steven Zuber got Switzerland's goal against Brazil and SportPesa offer 12/1 (13.0) that the Hoffenheim man notches the opening goal here, while the same firm go 5/1 (6.0) that Zuber scores at any time.

Leading the line?

Petkovic has been unable to identify a leading candidate to be his leading man in attack; Mario Gavranovic was given the task against Costa Rica, while Haris Seferovic started the first two group games.

Gavranovic is a 11/4 (3.75) chance to score at any time here, while Seferovic is also an 11/4 (3.75) shot to strike against Sweden.

Shaqiri to score at any time at 12/5 (3.40) for a 1pt stake with SportPesa
