K'Ogalo CEO Omondi Aduda reveals to Goal that beating rivals Ingwe in Super Cup final means they are history makers

Gor Mahia CEO Lordvick Omondi Aduda has eulogized the club as history makers.

Aduda was speaking after the club's achievement of lifting inaugural SportsPesa Super Cup title, beating traditional rivals AFC Leopards 3-0 in the final held at National Stadium in Tanzania on Sunday. "Beating AFC Leopards for the third time in a derby staged outside the country is not a mean achievement.

"This is notwithstanding that seven of our key players were missing from the squad to feature for their respective nations in African Cup of Nations qualifiers. Gor Mahia have proved to be history makers."

Ambani: AFC Leopards can never be champions

During the Super Cup final against AFC Leopards, Gor Mahia missed services of Boniface Oluoch, Ernest Wendo and Musa Mohammed, who traveled with Harambee Stars squad that played Sierra Leone in Freetown, Jacques Tusiyenge and Jeane Baptise Mugiraneza, who were with the Rwanda team, Karim Nizigiyimana, who was with Burundi team that hosted Southern Sudan and Godfrey Walusimbi, who was with Uganda Cranes team that traveled to Cape Verde.

Aduda says the latest victory in the Super Cup is a testimony that Gor Mahia is a soccer powerhouse.
