Sturridge eyes Inter Milan loan

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge is keen to join Inter Milan on loan for the rest of the season, reports Tuttosport.

Sturridge has struggled for regular starts this season and is keen to be playing more football ahead of the World Cup in Russia in the summer.

Reports have claimed Liverpool are prepared to sell the England international, while Inter view Sturridge as an alternative signing to Barcelona winger Gerard Deulofeu.

The 28-year-old frontman wants to take a new experience, where he can prove both his fitness and form to Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate.

It is thought Sturridge could slot in seamlessly at Juliano Spalletti's side – who have no real alternative to first-choice striker Mauro Icardi.
