Sofapaka hand Rwandan defender Soter Kayumba a two-year deal

Rwandan international Soter Kayumba has joined Sofapaka on a two-year deal Goal.com can report.

Goal exclusively reported of Batoto Ba Mungu's interest in the services of the AS Kigali center-back in October and Sofapaka President Elly Kalekwa confirmed that the former champions have finally landed the signature of the 26-year-old defender.

“He is already in Kenya and training with us. We have given him a two-year deal,” Kalekwa confirmed to Goal.

Kalekwa further revealed that Sofapaka are still in the market for more players, even though the Congolese business mogul could not divulge more information of their transfer business. "We have so many targets but I cannot reveal their names at this point."

Kayumba guided AS Kigali t a second place finish in the Rwandan Premier League last season. The Rwandan touched down in Kenya on Sunday night and was at the Sofapaka training venue on Tuesday.

Kayumba boast of a depth of experience of both the regional as well as continental football, having represented AS Kigali in the Caf Confederation Cup in 2014.
