Sadio Mane wins PFA Fans’ Player of the Month award

Sadio Mane has been crowned the Professional Football Association Fans’ Player of the Month for August.

The Senegal international played a key role as Liverpool enjoyed an unbeaten streak that see sit atop the Premier League table.

And the former Southampton striker has been singled out by the league’s supporters, beating off competitions from Sergio Aguero [Manchester City], Neil Etheridge [Cardiff City], Benjamin Mendy [Manchester City], Lucas Moura [Tottenham Hotspur], and Roberto Pereyra [Watford] to win the prize.

The Senegal forward has been phenomenal for the Reds since the start of this season scoring four goals in four league appearances.

Mane will be hoping to maintain his goalscoring run after the international break when Liverpool come up against Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley Stadium on September 15.
