Former Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane believes that Dimitri Payet's challenge that injured Cristiano Ronaldo in the Euro 2016 final was completely fair and a "great tackle".
The Real Madrid superstar had to be stretchered from the pitch after a collision with the West Ham playmaker early on in the game, with Ronaldo leaving the field in tears.
He told ITV Sport: "It's unfortunate. It's not a foul. If anything it's a great tackle, he's just unfortunate with the trailing leg and the momentum of the tackle.
"Football is a physical game. We're just glad he won, we couldn't have stood any more tears!"
