The 2012 European champions continue their qualifying campaign in Bucharest and our tipster is backing them to make it five wins out of five

Spain travel to Romania on Thursday evening looking to cement their place at the top of Group F of Euro 2020 qualifying

La Roja have claimed four wins from four games, beating every other team in the group already, and they are clear favourites to maintain their 100 per cent record so far when they face Romania.

Latest odds

Sportsbet offer the hosts at 7.50 to claim three points, while the visitors are available at 1.33. The draw can be backed at 4.20.

Romania vs Spain Team News

With Alvaro Morata out injured and Diego Costa not included in the squad, Valencia's Rodrigo Moreno and Borussia Dortmund's Paco Alcacer set to battle it out for a starting berth. Kepa Arrizabalaga has started the last three qualifiers but it remains to be seen whether he will be selected ahead of David De Gea.

Romania have midfielder Alexander Chipciu suspended following his sending off in the last game against Malta.

Romania vs Spain Preview

Thursday evening's trip to Bucharest is a chance for Spain to make history by recording their first ever win in Romania.

La Roja have played there six times, suffering three defeats while recording three draws and this week's match in the National Arena is surely a great chance for the side to end that winless streak.

We should not however necessarily expect a high-scoring game with Spain often having trouble breaking down opponents despite enjoying huge amounts of possession.

Their last match saw them beat Sweden 3-0 but all three goals came in the last 25 minutes, two of them from the penalty spot.

In their most recent qualifying campaign for the 2018 World Cup, La Roja recorded a 1-0 win in Israel and a 2-1 success in Macedonia while also winning 2-0 in Albania.

There have been few occasions where the side have torn apart their opponents in competitive games on the road, and while they should beat Romania, we should not expect them to run riot in the final third.

Tips and predictions

Spain to win and under 3.5 goals in the game is offered at what looks like being an unmissable price of 1.91 and this selection has proved a regular winner in La Roja's games away from home in qualifying tournaments. This bet has paid out in three of their last four matches on the road in World Cup qualifying and in four of their last five qualifiers for the European Championships and looks like a solid option for Thursday's clash.
