Sources say that Zapata is being antagonized by some a section of NEC members

AFC Leopards coach Rodolfo Zapata has fueled speculations that he could quit the club in the coming days.

The Argentine, who took over the reigns at the Den barely three months ago, is said to have fallen out with a section of club officials, who are ‘frustrating’ his effort to rebuild the squad.

According to sources close to Zapata, the former Gaborone United FC tactician is set to call it to quit after Sunday’s Mashemeji Derby against Gor Mahia.

According to sources, Zapata is being antagonized by a section of NEC members, who are understood to be using some members of his own technical bench to frustrate him.

But Zapata, in a Twitter post, expressed his dissatisfaction with those members of his backroom staff, who are rocking the boat from within.

AFC Leopards are fifth on the log and Zapata will be hoping to exit the Den with a victory against Gor Mahia to cut their lead to 11 points.
