Real Madrid return to action in the Primera Division and will look to put their recent dip in form behind them after dropping five points in their last three matches

Zinedine Zidane's side lost 2-1 at Valencia in one of their two games in hand last Wednesday and even though they came back from a 2-0 deficit to claim all three points away to Villarreal on Sunday, they could then only draw 3-3 at home to Las Palmas on Wednesday.

Real Madrid lose Bale to two-match ban

That result saw Barcelona - who had earlier thrashed Sporting Gijon 6-1 - move back to the top of La Liga, although Los Blancos - now one point behind the Catalans - still have a game in hand after their match at Celta Vigo last month was postponed.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who was absent from training on Friday, will miss the trip to Eibar, while Raphael Varane and Fabio Coentrao are both sidelined.

Danilo is fit again and could play some part in the Basque Country, but the Brazilian defender is unlikely to feature from the outset at Ipurua.

Gareth Bale was sent off in the 3-3 draw against Las Palmas and his straight red card (after also recieving a yellow) means he has been handed a two-match ban and will miss the trip to Eibar.

Alvaro Morata is also suspended after picking up a booking on Wednesday.

Zidane will have to make changes to his side on Saturday as Ronaldo is out through injury and Bale is suspended.

Isco is in fine form and the midfielder is likely to be rewarded with a starting spot once again, with Lucas Vazquez in attack alongside Karim Benzema.

Keylor voys to silence Madrid jeers

In midfield, Casemiro returns after he was rested on Wednesday and the Brazilian should start alongside Luka Modric and Toni Kroos.

At the back, Nacho will come in either for Marcelo or Dani Carvajal to start in one of the full-back positions, with Pepe alongside Sergio Ramos in central defence.

Eibar are enjoying another impressive season in La Liga and are currently seventh with 39 points, just three behind sixth-placed Villarreal.

The Basque side have lost only three matches at home all season and also held Real Madrd to a 1-1 draw at the Santiago Bernabeu earlier on in 2016-17.

Defender Florian Lejeune is suspended after he was sent off in the 2-2 draw at Real Sociedad at the weekend. Goalkeeper Asier Riesgo, left-back David Junca and forwards Kike and Nano are all out injured.

  • Eibar have won their last three home games in La Liga (scoring 10 goals, 3.3 per game), but they have never won four in a row in the Primera Division.

  • Real Madrid have scored in their last 45 games in all competitions, the best run ever for a Liga side.

  • Keylor Navas has already conceded 31 goals in all competitions, the same as in the whole of last season at Real Madrid.

  • Pedro Leon has scored eight goals in La Liga this season, the joint-most for a midfielder along with Yannick Carrasco.

Eibar versus Real Madrid kicks off at 16:15 CET at Ipurua and as games at that time cannot be televised live in the UK, the match will be shown later in its entirety from 17:30 GMT on Sky Sports 5.
