George Lebese, who recently left Mamelodi Sundowns on a six-month loan deal as he signed for arch-rivals SuperSport United is already feeling at home at his new club.

Following a rather disappointing spell at Chloorkop where he severely fell down the pecking order, Lebese looks to put the past behind him and venture forward with an eye on resurrecting his career.

“I still feel like I am at home, it is still Pretoria,” Lebese said regarding his move.

“I know most of the players so it wasn’t difficult to adjust. The only thing I had to adjust to was how the coach wants me to play but so far it was good,” Lebese explained.

While Lebese struggled for game time at Sundowns this season, he has not had to wait long to taste action at his new club.

Nonetheless, after making a move that took him by surprise, Lebese is eager to impress, but at the same time admits that he does not want to put too much pressure on himself as he looks to find success at SuperSport.

“My target is to contribute to the team,” he added.

“I don’t want to put pressure on myself. If I contribute to the team and get the points I’ll be very happy,” he explained.

“I didn’t see it happening because it happened on the last day. It was a bit stressful but I am glad that it finally happened and I couldn’t have asked for anything else than to join such a great club,” he admitted.

“I got a call from my agent and he said there could be a potential move to another club and when the switch happened I was relieved,” he concluded.’

Lebese could have an important role to play for SuperSport on Wednesday as they take on Orlando Pirates in Nelspruit.
