Schalke sporting director Christian Heidel remains hopeful that Leon Goretzka will remain at the club as speculation regarding his future intensifies.
The Germany international midfielder is out of contract at the end of the season, and the latest round of rumours have linked him heavily with a move to Barcelona.
Arsenal, Juventus and Liverpool have also been linked with the 22-year-old while reports have also suggested Bayern Munich are not out of the race.
Despite all that, Heidel is unaware of any deal for the player to leave being in place, but believes Goretzka will make a call on his future in the near future.
"I think if Schalke had no chance to keep him I would be the first to know that," he told SportBild. "But I haven't received that kind of information until now.
"Leon will make a decision soon without us building any pressure on him."
Goretzka's form has helped Schalke climb to second in the Bundesliga table, with Domenico Tedesco's side six points behind leaders Bayern.
