No action for Adams as Hoffenheim are held in Champions League

Kasim Nuhu Adams will have to wait a little longer to represent German side TSG Hoffenheim in the Champions League after failing to take to the pitch in Tuesday's draw with French outfit Lyon.

The Ghanaian was an unused substitute as Die Kraichgauer settled for a 3-3 stalemate with Les Gones.

The match came three days after he made an injury return in Saturday's 3-1 triumph over Nurnberg in the Bundesliga.

An Andrej Kramaric double and a 92nd minute equalizer spared Hoffenheim's blushes in Tuesday's game after goals from Bertrand Traore, Tanguy Ndombele and Memphis Depay brought the away side on the brink of grabbing three points at WIRSOL Rhein-Neckar-Arena.

The Germans, by the result, sit third on the four-team Group F table, one place below the French.

Adams also missed Hoffenheim's first two matches due to injury.

He will be hoping to return to action on Saturday when they play Stuttgart in the league.

The 23-year-old, who has three Bundesliga appearances to his name this season, joined Hoffenheim from Swiss side Young Boys on a five-year deal during the summer transfer window.

Last season, he made four appearances for YB in the Champions League - his debut year in the elite European inter-club competition.
