An impressive pyramid installation has been set up at Birrarung Marr in Melbourne with a futsal competition to be held over the next few days as Nike's latest boot starts hitting shelves.
The Nike PhantomVSN will be worn by Socceroos duo Aaron Mooy and Mark Milligan this season, along with European stars Kevin De Bruyne and Philippe Coutinho.
With a base built around ball control but with the trademark tip of speed the Mercurial prides itself on, the Phantom Pyramid is a fitting way to launch the boot.
Inside the eye-catching display, open to the public throughout the week, is a futsal court with Melbourne's best to face off over the coming days.
You can register your team in the Phantom League or secure your spot courtside here.
Though still in club limbo, Milligan was front and centre of the Phantom Pyramid's launch on Monday.
While still searching for his next club, the Socceroos defender has found his next boot with the Phantoms suiting the former Melbourne Victory man.
"This is a boot I’ve never seen come out from Nike," Milligan said.
"I’ve had a lot of issues with my feet so to bring out a boot like this is for me amazing. Being able to put it straight on and train makes a big difference.
"The game of football is changing…and to see that Nike is keeping up and making adjustments along with the game is very important for not only Nike, but football as well."
