Nigeria’s Fred Onyedinma extends Millwall contract

The 20-year-old midfielder has committed his future to the Lions for another three years

Fred Onyedinma signed a three-year extension with Millwall which keeps him at the Den till 2020.

The Lagos-born player joined the team through its youth ranks in 2014 and was loaned to Wycombe Wanderers to earn playing time.

Onyedinma made his debut for Neill Harris’ side in a substitute appearance in January 2014, and the youngster has gone on to play 106 times since then.

“I love playing for this club,” a delighted Oyendinma told club website.

“I am happy to have signed a new deal here.

“The manager has always been great with me, right back to when he handed me my debut against Southend, and I’m looking forward to keep on improving and play as big of a role as I can in the English Championship season coming.”
